Export Sliders for Magento and HTML Usage

Export for Magento Usage

Sliders can be exported and then imported. This is useful for creating a backup of the slider, and also for transferring a slider from one domain to another. To export a slider, visit your sliders list, and click the “Export Slider” button. This will create a zip file of your slider, that can be saved on your computer for importing at a later time.

Export for non-Magento usage (static HTML website)

Slider Revolution is available as a Magento plugin, and also a stand-alone jQuery plugin. Although the jQuery version includes tools for generating custom animations, it doesn’t have the same robust admin included with the Magento version. This is where the “Export for HTML” option is useful. You can build your slider in a Magento environment, and then generate the HTML/CSS/JS needed for transferring the slider to a static HTML site.

To get started, first visit your slider’s main admin page, and inside the Global Settings, set the “Enable Markup Export option” to “On”.

Next, refresh the page and you’ll see a new button titled “HTML” as shown below:

  1. Replace image URLs: Replace all image urls from the Magento domain to your static site’s new domain.
  2. Header: Copy this part into the “head” section of your document.
  3. CSS: Copy this part into your web page’s main stylesheet.
  4. Body: Copy this part into your page where you want the slider to appear.
  5. Script: Wrap the script here in <script></script> tags, and then paste directly below the slider’s HTML.
